Though in a concert hall rather than an opera house, this is a staged production directed by Hartmut Schörghofer. Adam Fischer, a Bayreuth regular, conducts the Budapest Symphony Orchestra and an international cast. The venue is the accoustically superb Bartók National Concert Hall, part of a magnificent arts centre opened in 2005.
