Music in Florence, the Venetian Hills and Connoisseur’s Rome

A new all-inclusive music festival and expert-led small group tours discovering Italy’s lesser known art and architecture.

A Festival of Music in Florence (23-29 October) offers private access to Florence’s unique palazzi and churches, including the Galleria degli Uffizi, for concerts with world-class musicians performing specifically chosen pieces. The 8-day festival also includes walks around Florence with Renaissance experts and talks by a renowned music historian. Hotels are centrally located and prices start at £3,200 per person including flights.

The Venetian Hills (13-18 October) is a small-group tour set in stunning vine-clad countryside in the foothills of the Dolomites. The itinerary includes visits to Renaissance master Titian’s home in Pieve di Cadore, and important pieces by other Venetian artists. Staying throughout in a comfortable hotel in a former abbey, this tour explores an otherwise little known area. Price including flights: £1,790 per person.

Connoisseur’s Rome (17-22 November) offers an out-of-hours visit to the Sistine Chapel and access to some of Rome’s greatest treasures without the crowds, but also visits well-known places for those unfamiliar with the Eternal City. Led by one of MRT's most experienced art history experts, the price includes the comforts of a 5-star hotel situated near the Spanish steps. Price: £2,410 per person including flights.
