Chamber Music Weekends 2011

Chamber Music Weekends from Martin Randall Music Management feature musicians of the highest calibre performing concerts of chamber music over a weekend at two wonderful locations: the renowned Castle Hotel in Taunton and, new in 2011, Jesmond Dene House in Newcastle. From Friday evening to Sunday afternoon, each weekend sees four concerts performed for a small audience in an intimate hall little bigger than a large drawing room – just the sort of size composers used to have in mind for chamber music. There are opportunities throughout the weekend to mingle with the musicians, including in the award-winning restaurants.

The weekends in 2011 are:
• The Schubert Ensemble: From Vienna to Prague, 28–30 January 2011, The Castle Hotel in Taunton, £675 per person (garden room £810).
• The Dante Quartet: Great Last Works, 18–20 February 2011, The Castle Hotel in Taunton, £675 per person (garden room £810).
• The Wihan Quartet: German & Czech Romantics, 18–20 March 2011, Jesmond Dene House in Newcastle, small double £620, standard double £660, suites £760, single room (double for sole occupancy) £770.
• The London Haydn Quartet: Haydn Quartets, Mozart Quintets, 1–3 April 2011, Castle Hotel in Taunton, £675 per person (garden room £810).
• Emma Johnson & Friends: Schubert Plus, 29 April – 1 May 2011, The Castle Hotel in Taunton, £675 per person (garden room £810).

The prices include admission to all four concerts and pre-concert talks, accommodation for two nights, two breakfasts and dinners (wine, water & coffee included), interval drinks, two afternoon teas, and all gratuities for hotel staff. Full details at www.martinrandall.com
