We have selected eight hotels for this festival. All are 4- or 5-star. The hotel and linked dinners are the sole determinants of the different prices for the festival package.

Quiet? Though blessedly free of the sound of wheeled traffic, motor boats and street life mean that few hotels can be guaranteed to be absolutely quiet.

Luggage. The vagaries of weather and water height make it difficult to liaise between water taxis and porters, and not all hotels have their own mooring. There is a possibility therefore that you will have to carry your own luggage. Suitcases with wheels are advised.

Rooms vary. As is inevitable in historic buildings, rooms vary in size and outlook.
Suites and rooms with views. Some hotels have suites and most have rooms with views of the Grand Canal or the lagoon. All are subject to availability at the time of booking. Prices are either given on the next two pages or are available on request.

The prices given are all per person. For a list of what is included, see page 7.
Arriving a day early. prices are also given for this and include a package of an extra night’s accommodation, dinner and drinks reception.

Hotel Gritti Palace, 5-star
Perfectly positioned at the mouth of the Grand Canal, this is the most venerable hotel in Venice. Occupying the elegant Gothic palace of a 15th-century doge, the style of the hotel is one of restrained luxury. Some bedrooms have an air of faded grandeur and vary in size, outlook and decor. Some have a view of the Grand Canal. With excellent, discreet service it well merits its five-star status. The hotel has its own mooring point on the Grand Canal. Suites on request.

A small and well-maintained hotel in a convenient location on the Grand Canal near the Campo Sant’Angelo and the Rialto Bridge. Rooms are decorated in Venetian style. Junior suites and suites are available, with or without Grand Canal views. Public areas include a small bar and lounge but no restaurant. The Line 1 vaporetto stops directly outside the hotel. We have reserved all rooms.
