Genoa & Turin
- Two grand cities in north-western Italy, unaccountably neglected by tourists.
- Great art and architecture from mediaeval to Baroque, particularly rich in palaces.
Mentioned below are other holidays that fall either side of this one. If you would like to book two or more holidays in a row, it will be your responsibility to make your own way between them, however we are happy to offer advice if necessary. The exceptions are tours that are specifically offered as 'pre-festival' or 'post-festival' tours – for these we provide a transfer between tour and festival where needed. Dark Age Brilliance
- A journey through north-east Italy to Croatia, via Ravenna, Torcello, Cividale.
- Includes some of the finest art and architecture of the Early Middle Ages to be found anywhere.

Leonardo da Vinci
- Works by the artist and places associated with his life in Milan and Florence.
- A morning in Vinci, to see his birthplace and the museum dedicated to his scientific achievements.
- Led by the most renowned biographer of Leonardo.
Pompeii & Herculaneum
- Perhaps the most exciting tour possible dealing with Roman archaeology.
- The two principal sites buried by the ad 79 eruption of Vesuvius plus Greek Paestum and the Naples Archaeological Museum.
- Lesser-visited sites such as Cumae and Pozzuoli.
Walking in Sicily
- Six walks of between 4 and 9 kilometres through immensely varied scenery, from the lava fields of Etna to salt lake flats along the coast.
- Much of archaeological interest, and visits to Syracuse, greatest of west Greek cities, and to the Baroque city of Noto.
- Two hotels, in Taormina with beautiful sea views and in the centre of Syracuse.
Walking in Tuscany
- Five half-day walks through some of the most stunningly beautiful countryside in Europe.
