Dr Konstanze Knittler

Art historian, lecturer and specialist in Chinese ceramics. She studied in Vienna before acquiring a postgraduate diploma from Sotheby’s Institute of Art. After a period in the commercial art market in Vienna, she was awarded a Leverhulme scholarship for doctoral studies at the University of Glasgow. Her PhD focuses on collecting and the British art market for Chinese art in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Since 2010, she has been lecturing at Sotheby’s Institute on two Masters programmes and has run her own short courses on Asian Art.
