Jerry Spangler

Archaeologist, author and expert on prehistoric ancestral peoples of the Colorado River Basin. He is the Executive Director of the Colorado Plateau Archaeological Alliance, dedicated to preserving archaeological resources on public lands in the western United States, and is a frequent lecturer on archaeological preservation issues. He has written or co-written four books on the Fremont Culture of the Colorado Plateau, a prehistoric society renowned the world over for its ancient rock art, and has published widely on prehistoric peoples of Utah, western Colorado, and northern Arizona.
