A Festival of Music in Venice (13–18 March 2011) is an amazing all-inclusive music festival that features the finest interpreters of music from Venice and the Veneto performing in some of the most glorious interior spaces in Europe, all within the most beautiful city on Earth.
Musicians of the calibre of La Venexiana, The Gabrieli Consort & Players, Christopher Maltman and Accademia Bizantina, perform seven concerts in seven contrasting but magnificent historic venues, including Sta Maria dei Miracoli, Scuola Grande di San Rocco and Palazzo Zenobio.
Accommodation is from a choice of eight 4- and 5-star hotels and there is a wide choice of walks and visits, led by one of our lecturers with a special knowledge of the city.
Renowned musicologist Roderick Swanston brings his unique combination of learning, wit and enthusiasm to set the scene and introduce the music through a series of lectures.
Full details and a booking form are on the A Festival of Music in Venice pages. Dates for the other four all-inclusive music festivals taking place in 2011 can be found on the Music Festivals pages.
