Amanda Patton discusses Gardens of the Veneto and London Gardens Walk on Classic FM South Africa

posted on 23/01/17

Amanda Patton recently spoke to Classic FM South Africa’s Tamara LePine Williams about her garden tours in Italy and London.

Amanda explains what is so unique about the gardens in the Veneto region, as well as how history and topography strongly influenced their design. She gives a taster of some of the highlights of this tour, such as the man-made underground caves below the Villa Frassanelle, complete with lakes and stalactites, and the world’s oldest botanical gardens in Padua. She goes onto describe her London Gardens Walk, which explores a variety of hidden green spaces in the Capital.

Amanda Patton is a garden designer, writer, broadcaster and artist. A member of the Society of Garden Designers and member of the Garden Media Guild, she has created Show Gardens at Chelsea and Hampton Court and has designed over 100 gardens.
