posted on 06/10/16

We are delighted to share the news that MRT lecturer Professor Tim Blanning has been awarded the British Academy Medal for his latest book Frederick the Great: King of Prussia.

Up to three medals can be awarded per year in recognition of an outstanding achievement in any branch of the humanities and social sciences which transforms the understanding of a particular field of study.

Tim is Emeritus Professor of Modern European History at the University of Cambridge and leads our Frederick the Great: Controversial King of Prussia tour. The tour examines the life and legacy of Prussia’s most brilliant and disruptive king through visits to his retreats and palaces.
