Dr David Robinson

David studied at the University of Wales, College Swansea, and St John’s College, Cambridge, and was later appointed to a University of Wales post-doctoral research fellowship. He went on to work on the conservation and presentation of historic properties at both Cadw and English Heritage. David’s interests span the architectural history of the Middle Ages, with his various books and articles primarily concerned with the monastic and religious orders. In 2006 he was awarded the Alice Davies Hitchcock Medallion by the Society of Architectural Historians of Great Britain. He is a fellow of the Society of Antiquaries and of the Royal Historical Society.
