Patrizia Sfigliotti
Patrizia Sfigliotti studied in Rome, at the Vatican and at the University of Aix-en-Provence for her PhD in Medieval Archaeology. For ten years she worked on the Crypta Balbi project, the most important excavation in Rome in the 20th century. She has worked as a professor at Roma Tre University and has promoted cultural heritage of Rome and Italy for over 20 years through her work for FAI (Italian National Trust). She wrote the guidebook to Villa Gregoriana (Tivoli), and translated the manual by Colin Renfrew and Paul G. Bahn, Archaeology: Theories, Methods and Practice (first published by Thames & Hudson in 1991). In 2002 she was appointed a Kentucky Colonel.
