Ms Helena Attlee

Helena Attlee is a British author who made Italy and its gardens the focus for much of her early writing. Italian Gardens, A Cultural History was published in 2006. Her forthcoming book, The Fire in The Mountain, Sicily, Etna and Her People is due for publication in April 2026. Lev’s Violin, An Italian Adventure, came out in 2022 and was broadcast as BBC Radio 4’s ‘Book of the Week.’ The Land Where Lemons Grow, The Story of Italy and its Citrus Fruit, was a Sunday Times’ Bestseller in 2015. It was shortlisted for the Stanford Dolman travel writing prize, won the Guild of Food Writers’ Book of the Year, and was also broadcast on Radio 4.
