Mr Jeremy Summerly
Jeremy Summerly is Director of Studies in Music at Caius College, Cambridge, having previously been Director of Music at St Peter’s College, Oxford, and Head of Academic Studies at the Royal Academy of Music. He has conducted over 40 recordings spanning nine centuries of music, and given concert tours across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa, including a performance of Britten’s Hymn to the Virgin sung across the River Jordan. He is Director of Music at St Luke’s, Chelsea, a Fellow of the Royal School of Church Music, and a familiar voice on Radio 3 since the 1990s. Alongside conducting, he plays harpsichord, Baroque viola, and Renaissance and medieval instruments.
