Exploring England on a cultural tour

Dr Marc Morris, biographer of William the Conqueror, takes you through the castles that made Kent and Sussex a battleground for three centuries on Norman Conquest and Plantagenet Power. We are led through the country houses of the north by a curator who once catalogued the Royal Collection's silver. Roman Britain's south coast comes courtesy of a professor who can date a mosaic at a glance and name the legion that laid it.

England, dug up, opened up and explained by people who've spent their careers on exactly this.
