Dear Reader,
As the below brochure suggests, 2026 beckons and with it a dazzling array of tours, cruises, online talks, history symposia, chamber music breaks and six of our own Martin Randall Festivals.
If I were asked for my ‘top ten’ I would say the following:
- Baroque Music in the Bolivian Missions – for sheer ambition, adventure and innovation, it captures everything I love about MRT.
- The Bach Journey – surely the most moving and uplifting of musical experiences: nine performances just for us in the places Bach lived and worked.
- Extremadura – simply my favourite region in Spain: wild and wonderful countryside, little-visited yet rich in monuments.
- Frank Lloyd Wright – an immense architectural pilgrimage combining strong narrative, special arrangements, small-town and big-city USA.
- The Cathedrals of England – ten of the best in nine days, without overkill.
- Ravenna & Urbino – for the chance to see the glorious Byzantine mosaics in San Vitale up close on a private viewing.
- Samarkand & Silk Road Cities – what a journey, much enhanced by the conviviality of a group.
- Gastronomic Basque Country – or any of our Gastronomic tours for that matter – far more than just good food and wine (though Basque cheesecake is all the rage!).
- History & Art on the Danube – for the energy and insights of the three speakers on board our very comfortable ship, along with the exclusive access arranged on shore.
- Venetian Land Empire – not only a wide-ranging itinerary, but six nights in one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in.
I’d be delighted to hear your opinions. All our events can be explored on martinrandall.com along with reviews, news articles, profiles of our amazing lecturers and the highly dedicated staff who underpin the whole operation.
We are here to help if you would like any advice or if you would like to make a booking. We look forward to talking to you.
With best wishes,
Fiona Charrington
Chief Executive
