Marc explains how the food and wine of a region can be used to understand its history and culture, and shares his knowledge of the origins of pasta and polenta in Italy. He discusses our Gastronomic Emilia-Romagna tour, the region well known for its cheeses, hams and balsamic vinegar, and the rare Venetian wines to be sampled on our Gastronomic Veneto tour.
Marc is a wine, food and travel writer and has his own wine company which imports Italian wines from small family estates. He is joined on the tours mentioned above by art historian Dr R.T. Cobianchi who gives insights into the art and architecture of the regions visited.
