Terry Charman to appear on BBC coverage of the 70th anniversary of Victory over Japan Day

MRT lecturer and senior historian at the Imperial War Museum, Terry Charman, will be appearing on BBC One on Saturday 15th August. ‘VJ Day 70: The Nation Remembers’ will be presented by Kirsty Young and Terry will be joining James Naughtie to offer commentary on a selection of commemorative events.

The programme begins with a service at St Martin-In-The-Fields Church, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony and a parade past the Cenotaph to Westminster Abbey.

Terry has worked on many exhibitions at the Imperial War Museum, including The Churchill Museum, Holocaust exhibition, and D-Day to Victory, and is considered an authority on the Battle of Britain and the Blitz.
